The İTÜ Çekirdek Incubation Center, formed through the visionary approach of İTÜ and İTÜ ARI Teknokent in 2011, aims to support technological initiatives in different industries and shape these into rapidly-growing startups with a scalable business model.
Having celebrated its 10th anniversary and ranked by UBI Global as being among the top 5 university incubation centers, İTÜ Çekirdek offers a range of services including training, consulting, mentorship, networking, corporate business partners, press & PR assistance, and funding, in order to inspire tech start-ups at various stages and contribute to their success in the market.
By connecting start-ups with corporations, investment networks, and professionals who can help them, the İTÜ Çekirdek Incubation Center brings together corporations and start-ups who can establish collaborations or client relations through this platform, in addition to giving investors access to the pool of entrepreneurs.
Being one of the most important entrepreneurship centers in the region, İTÜ Çekirdek continues to offer more opportunities and support to even more entrepreneurs every year with the contributions from 40 valuable corporate stakeholders. These include Istanbul Airport as well as Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Istanbul Planning Agency, Istanbul Chamber of Industry, Elginkan Foundation, Automotive Exporters Association, and more than 40 investment networks and investor stakeholders.

Having received more than 60,000 applications from more than 35 countries worldwide and 81 provinces in Turkey, supporting more than 3,000 startups and more than 7,600 entrepreneurs, İTÜ Çekirdek has supported hundreds of entrepreneurs and witnessed their success stories. Among the initiatives it supports, 1,057 of them were incorporated, they reached a valuation exceeding TRY 4.7 billion, received investments of over TRY 760 million, and had a turnover of over TRY 368 million.
İTÜ Çekirdek will transfer all of the experience it has gained up until now to Civil Aviation initiatives through the iGA HUB Program.
